Frequently Asked Questions

Billing/Insurance

Pediatric Physicians, Inc participates in many plans including Medicaid, Caresource, Molina, Buckeye Community, Paramount and United Community. Please refer to your provider manual prior to your appointment to make sure we are an in-network provider.  Please note, we are not an In-network provider for any plans acquired through the healthcare.gov marketplace.  We are also not associated with OhioHealth, and are an independently owned practice.

Please note that all co-pays (no exceptions) MUST be paid at the time of service as is written in all policy contracts. Failure to collect co-pays at the time of service may be considered insurance fraud by insurance companies. At every visit we will ask to see your insurance card for verification. Incorrect information is costly to both the practice and the guarantor/policy holder!

If you do not have insurance, please consult with the billing team for the self-pay guidelines prior to your visit as payment at the time of service is required.

Pediatric Physicians, as stated in the financial policy, will make every effort to assist all patients with billing questions. We have full time billing staff including a billing/financial counselor to answer all of your account questions and help you make reasonable payment arrangements. For all billing questions, please contact the office at 614-771-0200 and press 7. Pediatric Physicians will ALWAYS try to be reasonable.

What if I forgot my card?

You must have your policy information at the time of service in order for us to verify coverage and submit charges to your insurance carrier.  If you do not have verifiable insurance information, you may pay in full for the visit and submit to insurance yourself; or, we will help you reschedule your appointment.

I was just here a month ago---do I have to get my card out again?

Yes, we must see your insurance card at EVERY VISIT – no exceptions.

My primary insurance is Anthem and my secondary insurance is Cigna. Do you bill both insurances?

We will happily submit to your primary insurance and secondary insurance carriers.

Is your facility VFC (Vaccines for Children)?

Yes! If you have Medicaid, Caresource, Molina, Buckeye Community, Paramount, and United Healthcare Community, PPI will perform any and all examinations, treatments, and vaccinations.
